ID bracelets are fun and cool to wear these days

Have you ever wondered how the doctors can tell what a person is allergic to or what blood type they are if they come into the hospital without consciousness? The answer is simple the person was wearing a medical id bracelet or some other similar device like a necklace or even a card with their pertinent information on it. This concept has been around for years but far too few people with serious food and medication allergies use them. If you know someone that would benefit from the use of one of these items then you need to take it upon yourself to show them how inexpensive and simple it is to get one so that they are not in jeopardy of the doctors making a situation worse for no reason.

Skeptics out there are looking at this and cannot really understand how in the world a small medical id bracelet can save your life. For those people I will offer this example. Say you have an allergy to a pain medication that is commonly used by hospital doctors and you are driving by yourself across town one day and are involved in an accident that renders you unconscious. When the paramedics arrive on the scene and try to get you to talk and they cannot but do find injuries that would benefit from certain medicines. If you are not able to tell them that you cannot have them they will administer them.

The crazy thing is that the injuries that you sustain would not kill you or leave permanent issues but when they give you the medication because they see no medical id bracelet to tell them not to you could die from the reaction. There are so many dangerous things that we cannot stop from happening to us that there is no reason no to prevent the ones we can prevent.
